For this painting I was inspired by the film 'Our Planet' by Sir David Attenborough. The fundamental truth is written on the painting lower left hand side, and is " that we are ultimately bound by, and reliant upon, the finite natural world about us". This film impacted me, it's a serious issue that we are all grappling with. I want my work to express something meaningful. This painting began with the idea of the river of life, the river was taken from a tv programme. I wanted the painting to have some hopeful possibility which I think is expressed in the upper right hand corner. This is my contribution to the dialogue about climate change.
