This painting pictures LaoTzu, the father of Taoism. This has been a major influence on my life through the I Ching and tai chi. I have taken another landscape taken from TV.
This painting is based on a particular hexagram I had thrown in the I Ching. The hexagram, Biting Through, talked about the truth of the matter - for harmony we need to have personal relationships with "defined guidelines, reasonable expectations, reciprocal considerations and clear plans for the future". For me this reflected my own journey and our journey as a species.
