Faces

I love putting faces and figures in my paintings, seeing how I can add to what often begins as an abstract painting and then how to balance those two aspects, the figurative and abstract.  Sometimes the face is a significant person - someone I find inspiring, or sometimes my own face as part of an exploration into a particular theme.
