My work is all about the process. Life is a process of becoming and my art practice is a mirror or metaphor for life and so for me it is endlessly intriguing. I follow the process, trusting where it will lead me, which can be nerve-wracking at times, hugely challenging but usually worth it in the end when I reach some kind of harmonious resolution. 
I want to give you, the viewer the possibility for your own interpretation, for you to take responsibility for and appreciate your own viewpoint, I hope my work allows for that. After all at the end of the day art is an illusion, a flat surface with paint put on it in such a way that one 'sees' something that we give meaning to, an illusion that illuminates us.

I find the search for meaning intriguing, how we turn a shape into a face or a square into a house.  I see the possibility for healing in painting, either through the act of painting itself or from looking at art. The vibration of colour is something that penetrates into the brain and which has an emotional and physical impact. I want to bring light into the world, there is too much darkness already. The darkness, the shadows bring a complexity and richness to life which can become habitual and addictive. Seeing the light, literally understanding - that life is beautiful, a joyous dance; that is intriguing and something I wish to experience and express through my art.
