I'm a trained artist and have been painting since leaving art college in 1986. I always considered it a success - the fact that I continued to paint as in that time I was also working and bringing up my family. In recent years however I have been able to focus more on my painting practice and have been able to devote myself fully to my artwork.

My work is process based, usually I start off with a blank canvas and no idea where it will go.  I 'allow' the process and follow to see where it leads me. I love the process -  the layers, the unfolding of understanding, the mystery. For me it's a process that is intriguing, challenging and deeply rewarding. I am fascinated by the inner world with it’s complicated terrain, I love the way we are driven by our internal motivations whether or not we understand or acknowledge them. I see the reflections of natural cycles and rhythms in our lives and feel the vibrations of colour and harmony as a driving force in my work.

I have been working in acrylics for many years now, and I also love making collages.
I went to college at Byam Shaw School of Art in London many moons ago and my work is private collections in USA, Switzerland and France as well as the UK.

I live and work in London and have a studio in France.
